Emma Plays with Newspaper and a Tape Measure

After having 12 children, I’ve discovered babies like my stuff more than they like toys.  A one year old enjoys the wrapping paper more than the gift.

Emma spends time in the office with me while I’m writing blog posts.  She loves my sewing tape measure. 

We just introduced her to newspaper.  We give her the slick colored newspaper so she doesn’t get newsprint all over her.

Babies love paper.  It’s better than any toy. 

Emma Sits Up

In the last couple of weeks Emma has been sitting up.  It is cool to see her grow up.  She enjoys sitting up because she has more freedom to do what she wants.

 

It is a lot easier to watch her when you can put pillows around her, giver her some toys, and then do something without having to hold her.  We have to put pillows around her because she hasn’t quite got her balance.  Sometimes she falls over.
