Taking Pictures of Joseph on a Rainy Day

Saturday was an overcast day, so Joseph and I went outside to take a few pictures.

 

  

It started to rain, and Joseph didn’t like getting wet, so our photo shoot ended early.  Joseph age 5

Emma Plays with Newspaper and a Tape Measure

After having 12 children, I’ve discovered babies like my stuff more than they like toys.  A one year old enjoys the wrapping paper more than the gift.

Emma spends time in the office with me while I’m writing blog posts.  She loves my sewing tape measure. 

We just introduced her to newspaper.  We give her the slick colored newspaper so she doesn’t get newsprint all over her.

Babies love paper.  It’s better than any toy. 

Marianne and Her 18 Dresses

Marianne loves wearing a dress.  She is a lot like Jaylee.  Even as an adult, Jaylee prefers dresses over pants.

We like going to the DI (thrift store) because you never know what someone else is going to give away.  We found several cute summer dresses for Marianne, and they are cheaper than a basic t-shirt at Wal-Mart.  For $3-$5 we can buy a darling dress, and little girls look so cute in dresses. 

Marianne wears some of her dresses to go to church, but she uses most of them to play in. Every day, she picks out a dress to wear for the day.  She would like to continually change her outfit, but we limit her to one or two dresses a day.  If she gets dirty in the morning, she puts on a clean dress to take her nap.

She thinks she needs a new DI dress every time I go to town.  I think we have enough dresses for the summer.
